How to Never Run Out of Content Ideas Again - Episode 55
Welcome back to SMM - Episode 55!
Today’s topic is something every creator struggles with at some point:
How to Never Run Out of Content Ideas Again for Social Media
If you’ve ever sat there thinking - “What should I post today?” - then this newsletter is for you.
The Problem
Most people assume they’ll just think of a video idea, or create content when something comes to mind.
This is a BAD way to approach content creation.
The best creators in the world don’t rely on random ideas.
They build systems that consistently produce strong content.
The Solution: Build a System
If you want consistent content, you need a repeatable system.
Here are 3 simple ways to generate unlimited ideas:
1️⃣ Steal Formats, Not Content
One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking they need to be original all the time.
You don’t.
Instead, look at content that is already performing well and ask:
What is the format?
What is the structure?
Why does it work?
Then apply that to your niche.
Example:
A video titled performs well:
👉 “3 Mistakes People Make in the Gym”
You can turn that into:
👉 “3 Mistakes Businesses Make on Social Media”
Same format. Different niche.
It isn’t copying. There is no such thing as an original idea on social media. Take what works and reinvent it for yourself.
2️⃣ Turn One Idea Into Ten
Most people waste their ideas, but good creators multiply them.
If you have one topic, you can break it down into multiple angles:
Mistakes
Tips
Myths
Personal experiences
Contrarian takes
One idea should never be just one piece of content.
It should be a week’s worth.
Remember - no one will see every piece of content you make. Being repetitive is actually a good thing.
Until you reach around 100,000 followers, I’d recommend:
Focus on one platform
Focus on one niche
You can repost content across platforms - but avoid splitting your focus too early.
3️⃣ Don’t reinvent the wheel
You don’t always need to create new content - sometimes you can just recreate what has already works.
I have a running series where I break Formula One news years after it actually happened.
The first time I did it, my video hit 1 million views.
Rather than just thinking, okay what video can I make next, I went:
Let me make that again.
I have now made around 15 iterations of that first video in around 5 months, which has lead me to many more millions of views.
Use what already works!
The Reality
The creators who win aren’t the most creative - but they’re the most consistent.
And consistency becomes easy when you remove the question:
👉 “What should I post?”
Conclusion
If you want to never run out of content ideas:
Study what works
Multiply your ideas
Repeat formats
Do that, and you’ll always have something to post.
