How I Would Grow From 0 Followers in 2026 - Episode 63
Welcome back to Social Media Mastery - Episode 63!
Today, we’re talking about a topic that could genuinely help somebody reading this right now:
How I Would Grow From 0 Followers in 2026
This is my no BS approach if I were starting again with zero followers across every social media platform.
Pick One Platform
I would only focus on growing one primary social media platform.
The reason is simple: trying to grow everywhere often limits your chances of becoming truly successful anywhere.
Instead, pick one platform and make it your main focus.
You can still cross-post your content to other similar platforms. It may not be perfectly optimised for each one, but it’s far better than doing nothing and requires very little additional time or effort.
Pick One Audience
If you create content for everyone, you’ll ultimately create content for no one.
Choose a specific type of person you want to watch, read, or engage with your content.
The more specific you can be, the better.
Social media algorithms need signals to understand who your content is for. If your content speaks directly to a particular audience, platforms are much more likely to find similar people who will enjoy it.
Post Every Day
Consistency beats almost everything.
Show up every day and create high-quality content.
Over time, you will improve, learn, and grow.
No one has ever regretted posting more content. Even when a post fails, it provides valuable feedback and teaches you something.
Most people rely on motivation - the creators who win rely on discipline.
Just do more than everyone else.
Study Winners
I want to be clear here: this does not say copy winners.
Those are two very different things.
Copying a successful creator means taking what they’ve done and repeating it without understanding why it worked.
That might generate some views and even a few followers.
But those followers aren’t fans of you, they’re fans of the creator you’re copying.
It’s short-term growth that creates long-term problems.
Instead, study why successful creators are succeeding.
Learn the principles, then apply them to your own content.
That’s what every great creator and business owner does.
Monetise Later
This. Is. So. Important.
Your reputation is everything.
Build trust for years and people will follow you anywhere.
Destroy that trust by promoting a scam, pushing low-quality products, or chasing a quick payday, and you may never get it back.
As Warren Buffett famously said:
“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.”
The money you make from monetising too early is often insignificant compared to what you could earn by waiting.
Focus on building trust first.
Build an audience that genuinely values your content.
Then, when the right opportunity comes along, monetise in a way that serves both you and your audience.
Because followers create attention. Trust creates businesses.
Make sure to subscribe, and remember - “Trust is built in drops and lost in buckets.”
